I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
